DREAM CENTER ACADEMY
The Dream Center Academy (DCA) is an afterschool program provided by The Shoals Dream Center in partnership with local professional educators. DCA equips under-resourced students with opportunities to learn, grow, overcome challenges and receive guidance in a safe and caring environment. Here, students participate in a wide range of classes, games and activities that are designed to enhance their academic, social and emotional development.

The Opportunity
DCA provides Title 1 students and families with the resources and support they need to improve their lives, pursue their dreams, and fulfill their potential.
Who
DCA is open to qualified and approved students from Hibbett Middle School in need of additional classroom attention and/or social and emotional learning services.
When
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays during the school year from 3 to 6pm.

What
- Family Huddles: Students are encouraged daily upon arrival with an inspirational family-style welcome that lets them know they are important and loved.
- Class Work: Certified teachers and college students in education majors work with children to help them master their current school subjects.
- Skill-Building: Students learn to process life’s challenges via emotional learning classes.
- Fun & Games: Children enjoy a variety of games, team-building exercises and activities that enable them to expend energy and build friendships.
- Snack Time: A healthy meal is provided to ensure children are able to focus.

Pray
We would love for you to partner with us in prayer as we seek God’s wisdom, resources and favor in transforming lives throughout the Shoals.
Participate
DCA offers weekly volunteer opportunities on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Volunteers are also invited to assist with special projects and Adopt-a-Blocks at various times throughout the year.
Partner
DCA welcomes financial contributions of all sizes from both individuals and businesses. Because DCA is a program operated by The Shoals Dream Center, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, all financial gifts and contributions are tax deductible.
